Yup, I'm still alive, unhealed, and writing occasionally with The Healing in the Wunderkammer issue being the latest.

Quantum Genre anthology from PARAPHILIA

PARAPHILIA MAGAZINE has just published the Quantum Genre in the Planet of the Arts anthology (website here, direct download here) which includes my story "Zinna". The quantum genre is defined by the editor V. Ulea as having the following properties:


1. quantum duality of characters
2. the uncertainty effect
3. quantum entanglement
4. quantum time
5. the observer/interpreter effect


I hope there will be more opportunities to explore the Quantum Genre in the future, both as writer and reader. Thanks to V. Ulea for her work in editing and finding a publisher!

general update

The Quantum Genre anthology, originally to be published by Crossing Chaos-Enigmatic Ink, may not appear as originally scheduled, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I will have a short fiction upcoming in for every year.

Tom English informed me yesterday that the Bound for Evil anthology to which I contributed a short story ("The Reference Book") is on the ballot for the 2008 Shirley Jackson Awards. The winners will be announced July 12th 2009.
